The plan was pretty simple. Attacking from the north and south at the same time, the British would be able to control a waterway and split those pesky New England radicals away from the rest of the colonies. Everything was working like clockwork, until the Brits forgot the most important thing…the hearts and minds of the colonists. Once they lost that, they had no hope of winning the war.
